French mezzo-soprano Marine Fribourg leads a solo career on the European stage in oratorio and chamber music, as well as enjoying a variety of musical collaborations, and running numerous projects.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Renowned for her vocal and musical qualities in a variety of repertoires, she is particularly appreciated for her elegant and sensitive interpretations of the music of Bach and his contemporaries, notably with the Netherlands Bach Society<\/strong> \/ Jos van Veldhoven & Johanna Soller, Gli Angeli Gen\u00e8ve<\/strong> \/ Stephan MacLeod, <\/em>Vox Luminis<\/strong> \/ Lionel Meunier, Luthers Bach Ensemble Groningen<\/strong> \/ Tymen Jan Bronda, the Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht<\/strong> \/ Johannes Leertouwer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She regularly performs madrigals in solo ensembles with Collegium Vocale Gent<\/strong> \/ Philippe Herreweghe, l\u2019ensemble Faenza<\/strong> \/ Marco Horvat, La Fonte Musica <\/strong>\/ Michele Pasotti, B\u2019Rock Vocal Consort<\/strong> \/ Andreas K\u00fcppers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her outstanding musical and music reading qualities, her precise ear and her vocal flexibility also make her a much-appreciated interpreter of contemporary music. In 2024, she premiered the 2nd book of Madrigals for 5 voices by contemporary composer Martin Moulin with ensemble Offrandes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Passionate about chamber music and historical instruments,<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

she regularly performs as a duo with pianist and fortepianist Flore Merlin<\/strong>, as well as with organists Benjamin Alard<\/strong>, Marc Meisel<\/strong> and Florence Rousseau<\/strong>, and with the medieval music ensemble Tasto Solo<\/strong> \/ Guillermo Perez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She co-founded the vocal quartet Damask, <\/strong>whose first CD O sch\u00f6ne Nacht,<\/em> released at the end of 2018, devoted to piano quartets by Brahms and his contemporaries, was highly praised by critics (Choc de Classica). She took sole charge of the artistic direction of the quartet in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

with Gli Angeli Gen\u00e8ve<\/strong> \/ Stephan Macleod, Faenza<\/strong> \/ Marco Horvat, La Guirlande <\/strong>\/ Luis Martinez Pueyo, Oerknal! New Music Collective<\/strong> \/ Gregory Charette, Benjamin Alard<\/strong> (for his recording of Bach's 'Orgelb\u00fcchlein'<\/em> for harmonia mundi, with the Ensemble Vocal Bergamasque). She can be seen in numerous video recordings on 'All of Bach<\/strong><\/a>', a project by the Netherlands Bach Society<\/strong> to record Bach's complete works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marine is a well-regarded choral conductor:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

she is the founder of the Bergamasque vocal ensemble<\/strong> in Paris, which she directed from 2007 to 2022, and she regularly directs one-off projects, courses and training courses for choirmasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her qualities as a singer and choral conductor as well as her leadership skills have led her to collaborate for many years with the festival l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie Bach<\/strong><\/a> in French Normandy (courses, concerts, musical trips) - and to participate regularly in the coordination of Bach cantatas at the Temple du Foyer de l'\u00c2me<\/strong> in Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2018 she won three prizes at the Vivonne international opera singing competition, including 1st prize and the audience prize. In 2020, she won the Audience Prize at the Georges Enesco International Competition in Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She holds a Master's degree in singing specialising in early music <\/strong>(2013) du Conservatoire Royal de La Haye (Pays-Bas) et d’un Dipl\u00f4me d’Etudes Musicales de direction de ch\u0153ur de la Ville de Paris (2008).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
